About Me
Hello and welcome. I’m so glad you’re here, and I’d like to introduce myself and share a little about how I work.
My name is Amber, and I know that reaching out for therapy can be a big step—one that can feel a little daunting at times. But I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to start, and remind you that by being here, you’ve already begun a meaningful step forward.
I’ve had the privilege of working as a psychotherapist within the NHS (Sutton Uplift and Talk Wandsworth) and Relational Counselling. During that time, I’ve had the honour of supporting individuals of all ages—children, young people, adults, and older adults—each with their own unique stories and challenges. I have experience working face-to-face, online, and over the telephone, offering flexible support to suit each person’s needs.
At times, we can all feel stuck, unsure of how to move forward, or weighed down by difficult thoughts and emotions. I work with people experiencing a wide range of mental health and emotional challenges. This may include anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, or difficulties related to past experiences and life challenges, and you can find a fuller list of the areas I support clients with in the section below.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to be truly heard and supported. I believe that no one should have to suffer in silence, and I’m committed to helping those who may feel like they have no one else to talk to.
I look forward to supporting you every step of the way, and to creating a space where you feel truly valued, understood, and empowered to make the changes that matter most to you.

Growing up, I saw close friends and people I cared about struggling with their mental health—experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, and at times feeling completely alone. Seeing this had a lasting impact on me and sparked a deep desire to support others through difficult times.
At first, I followed another passion and trained as a pâtisserie chef. After several years in the culinary world, I found myself in a toxic work environment and facing my own personal challenges. That experience helped me realise how important it is to have the right support during difficult periods in life.
It was during this time that I recognised my true calling: to help people navigate their mental health and emotional wellbeing. I decided to train as a psychotherapist so I could provide a safe, supportive space where people feel heard, understood, and no longer have to struggle in silence.
Today, I bring both my professional training and my personal understanding to my work as a therapist, supporting people as they work through anxiety, stress, past experiences, and life’s challenges.

My commitment is to support you through the challenges you may be facing, helping you every step of the way. Therapy offers a space where we can explore your experiences together, making sense of where you are now while working towards a future that feels more manageable and hopeful.
Our sessions provide a safe, confidential environment where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences. Together we will work at a pace that feels right for you, developing greater self-understanding and exploring coping tools that can support your emotional wellbeing in everyday life.
I approach therapy with compassion, care, and respect, building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and understanding. My aim is to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported as we work towards changes that feel meaningful and aligned with who you are and where you want to be.
This is your space — a place where you can share your thoughts and emotions without judgement, while we work together towards the goals that matter most to you.

Before our first session you will receive forms including assessment, GDPR policy and working agreement. Completing these in advance allows us to make the most of our time together. The forms will ask for some basic information, which is standard practice, and I’m always happy to answer any questions to ensure you feel fully informed and comfortable.
Your first appointment will last 50 minutes. We’ll spend this time getting to know each other — for you to get a sense of me and how I work, and for me to begin understanding your needs and what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your reasons for seeking support, what you hope to gain from therapy, and what you'd like from me as your therapist. This is also a space to begin exploring any goals you may have, whether they’re specific or something we develop together over time.
It’s important to me that you feel safe and at ease, which is why I encourage you to ask any questions and share any expectations you may have, both for the sessions and for our therapeutic relationship. This session is also an opportunity for us both to consider whether we’re the right fit to work together, which is a vital part of building a trusting and effective therapeutic space.
