Hand in Hand Therapy is my way of offering a warm, collaborative space where we walk through your journey together. It’s built on mutual respect, trust, and genuine connection.
My approach is relational at its core—focusing not just on symptoms, but on the whole person and the relationships that shape us. Whether you're facing challenges, seeking clarity, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I’m here to support you with care and presence.

Everyone’s journey is different—some people come to therapy looking for short-term support around a specific situation, while others choose to stay longer to explore things in more depth.
There’s no fixed timeline, and it’s something we’ll discuss together based on your goals, needs, and what feels most helpful for you.
We’ll regularly reflect on how the work is going so that it continues to feel meaningful and right for you
Hand in Hand Therapy offers short-term counselling and longer-term or open-ended psychotherapy. .

I provide 50-minute sessions on a weekly basis, as regularity and consistency are key to making meaningful progress in therapy.
We typically begin with an initial block of 6 sessions, after which we’ll review your progress together and decide whether you’d like to continue or work towards an ending.
For some clients, addressing immediate concerns within this time frame is sufficient. However, for deeper, more long-standing issues, longer-term or open-ended weekly sessions offer the space for gradual and sustained growth.
-
Each session costs £70, and payment is required in advance of the session. You can choose to pay weekly or make a block payment for the month, depending on what works best for you.

If you're running late, please let me know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, if you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time, as other clients may be booked afterward. This ensures that everyone’s time is respected. If you miss a session entirely, the full fee will still apply.
-
If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, please try to let me know at least 7 days before your appointment by calling 07731422400 or emailing amber@handinhandtherapy.co.uk. If I don’t receive at least 7 days’ notice, the full fee for the session will apply.
I understand that illness or emergencies can sometimes arise unexpectedly, and I will do my best to accommodate you in those situations. However, cancellations or rescheduling with less than 7 days' notice will still incur the full charge.

Yes, your sessions will be completely confidential. I will not share anything you discuss with anyone unless you give me explicit consent to do so. There are a few rare exceptions, such as if I believe you are at risk of harm to yourself or others, but I will always discuss this with you first. Your privacy and trust are very important to me.

Only you can decide if therapy is the right step, but if you’re finding it hard to cope and day-to-day life feels overwhelming, seeking professional support could make a difference. Therapy provides a safe, confidential space to talk about what’s on your mind, away from family or friends.
Counselling is often useful for addressing specific, short-term issues, such as anxiety, stress, or life transitions.
Psychotherapy, on the other hand, tends to explore deeper, long-standing concerns or patterns, such as trauma, depression, or complex emotional struggles. Together, we can figure out the best approach to help you feel more at ease and engaged in life.
If you're unsure, we can talk together about your needs and decide the best approach for you.

As a therapist, I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means my qualifications are verified through their rigorous registration process.
I prioritize quality by keeping a limited client base, ensuring I can offer the best care possible.
